Hey there friends! It’s third Thursday and it’s Erica from Dwell Beautiful here to share a fun, quick, and easy craft! Sadly this will be my last post with Oh My! Creative. I appreciate everything that Susan has done for me the past few months and it’s been such a joy to work with her and share some crafts with you all! It’s been an amazing ride and I’ll miss posting on third Thursdays
Sadness to the side for now, let’s get on with this super fun and easy craft – a paint dipped owl! This project can be done with any ceramic or plastic figure you find at the thrift store. I found my ceramic owl at Michaels on sale for a couple bucks. And while he’s cute and all, sagey green isn’t really the look I was going for:
First, pick your base color – for mine I chose a nice clean white. Then I spray painted my entire owl and let dry.
After that to get the “paint dipped” effect I taped off a diagonal line using painter’s tape and then used my second color – a pretty aqua – and spray painted below the tape.
Once everything is dry, remove the tape, et voila! An awesome paint dipped owl for some modern and colorful decor! I love the new look and it goes so great with my house and style.
Once again, I’m so sad to leaving Oh My! Creative contributor team, but I’m SO glad I had the opportunity to work for such an AMAZING woman and blogger. Thank you so much for the time as a contributor, Susan, it’s meant the world to me!
Many thanks to Erica for sharing so many creative projects! Wishing her the best as she moves on to new projects! XO
